The Field Service Project Manager II has overall responsibility for the commercial and technical execution of projects involving construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of rotating equipment and their associated facilities in the oil, gas and energy industries. As Elliott Groups representative on site, this role manages the site team and the expectations of the project stakeholders. This role implements processes and controls to ensure the projects meet the objectives of Elliott Group and satisfy the clients expectations.
Assemble and orient the project execution team, including subcontractors and site personnel.
Coordinate procurement of local and foreign materials and equipment with Supply Chain.
Ensure the projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Monitor, verify and expedite project activity execution by local subcontractors.
Develop project specific standards of execution and procedures.
Manage interaction between project stakeholders, including client, vendors, site team, headquarters personnel and engineering consultants.
Resolve/negotiate conflicts and take prompt action to maintain the projects on track.
Organize and conduct project updates and review meetings with stakeholders.
Maintain accurate documentation and records including warranties, project schedule, project financials and reports.
Required:
A minimum of 10+ years of experience with engineering of rotating equipment.
A minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the turbomachinery industry.
Proficient skills in Word Processing and Spreadsheet software.
The willingness and ability to travel 25% to 50%.
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Ten to fifteen 10-15 years exp in rotating equipment steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, generators, pumps, etc.
Proficient skills in Project Management software.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
